These Indians are brainwashed to believe they live in a reality where they are an economic, military, and cultural superpower which is only held back by some completely superficial reason. Their society is built around racism, jingoism, and jealousy, and anyone that says anything out of line with this is declared an anti-national traitor that ought to be lynched in the streets.

Now im sure not all of them are like that but definitely a sizeable chunk of them, and its a huge problem because even a minority (<49%) there can still be as much as 3 times the entire population of Pakistan.
