Hi guys I wanted to start a thread to present iconic photos that have had a lasting impact on you, I'll get the ball rolling:

The world would never be the same.

For me this pic shows everything that is both wrong AND right with humanity.

In the face of brutality and subversion, the human spirit prevails.

I don't know why this pic has stuck with me, possibly it is the dignity this soldier shows despite tears flowing down his cheeks and leaves us to wonder what horrors he has seen.

"Selection" Here, Jewish(and others) children, women, disabled people, etc were told they were going be "disinfected".. But they were put in the gas chamber. Where whole families were separated and annihilated. Grandpas, Grandmas, grandsons/daughters, wife, all gone here.
