IAF's MiG 29 and MiG 21 train with Singapore's Fighting Falcons in JMT

What does Singapore airforce gets out of these exercises? Their main adversaries are Malaysian and Indonesian airforces. I suppose Malaysia has got some Su-30's & MiG-29's and Indonesians got some Su-27's and Su-30's. It would make sense if IAF included some Su-30MKI's in these exercises.

Training space and action against potential adversarial aircraft.

Disagreed.

I have watched mig 21s since childhood as I live near an IAF base Never found anything beautiful about them.
On the other hand, Sukhoi30MKIs are just awesome to watch. I can say that those birds are the most beautiful fighters ever designed. :jester: :dance3:

not really, Mig 21 is a legendary aircraft and no other jet in history has been operational for more than 60 years after being designed.

Mid-21 is actually a good and highly reliable aircraft but due to poor assembling standards HAL has done a piss poor job at assembling the Mig-21's. Welding is the major concern.

More than 650 out of 870 Mig-21's were built by HAL in India and only 220 odd were built in Russia.

Designed by Mikoyan OKB in USSR Assembled by HAL in India. Result- 75% crash rate

Same thing may happen with Vietnam as HAL upgraded their Mig-21 to BISON standard

I would live to see SN basing their boats in India harbour also. They get more space and we get to strengthen our relationship while learning together. Thank you.

That will be alright too. But these Exercises are important since the IAF interceptors get to face off against F-16 Blk.52s. That experience will be invaluable for the IAF in combat. Even the IAF's Radars and other Sensors get a chance to practise acquisition and tracking of the Falcons. ;)

Correct. What I am saying that this cooperation should extend to other branch of defence forces.

The Indian and Singaporen armies conduct joint exercises (in India) too. But I agree military-military engagement needs to be expanded across the board by the Indian military with every willing nation. The more the Indian Mil trains with others the better.

The IAF is more trustworthy than you think. You dont need to worry about it and rest assured you can leave it to the professionals which the IAF personnel are.
im worried about migs dude not pilots! its shame that we are still using migs and risking the lifes pilot!
