Donald Trump claimed Facebook's chief executive, Mark Zuckerberg, said he was "Number 1" on the social network -- apparently referring to his follower count -- and that Prime Minister Narendra Modi was second. That is incorrect.



US President Donald Trump can't stop talking about his upcoming India trip. He's expecting "millions" to turn up to receive him in Gujarat, Prime Minister Narendra Modi's home state. And now, he's talking up his social media game -- and PM Modi's too.

But in fact, it's exactly the opposite.

According to Twiplomacy's 2019 rankings, it's PM Modi who is first among world leaders, with more than 44 million followers on Facebook. Donald Trump is a distant second. (Close to 26 million.)

But all this is only if you don't count Barack Obama -- no longer a government official -- who has around 55 million Facebook followers.

And if you look at non-political figures -- like Mark Zuckerberg himself -- then Barack Obama, Narendra Modi and Donald Trump are far behind. Football legends Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo have around 90 million and 122.5 million followers, respectively. Shakira has 100 million. And Facebook's official page on its own website is tracked by over 214.5 million people -- the most followed account.

Now back to India-US diplomacy.

Donald Trump arrives on February 24. Here's here for a two-day visit of Ahmedabad and Delhi, his first to India since becoming US president.

"Looking forward to it!" he said in his Saturday tweet. And so is PM Modi.

There's a difference between respecting and worshiping..

We care for all creatures.. Haraam means we aren't allowed to eat them..

Hunting without a valid reason is not allowed/ liked.. even if it is a pig.. But if we find monkeys roaming around the neighborhood injuring people, we are allowed to take necessary action, including killing them if necessary..

Again, that doesn't mean we are allowed to go on a hunt of monkeys or pigs for fun in their habitat..

On topic: why is Facebook being dragged into this event which is clearly a bilateral (sorry, "unilateral internal matter of India only") engagement between Modi and Trump? Is Zuckerberg mediating?
