Carrier backed by land based JH-7???:rofl:

and this:

IN is still behind JMSDF.its true that we've 2 Carriers, but they're really advanced in some sectors, like advanced subs fleet and their Aegis Destroyers along with helo carriers..

India will only going to match them in these sectors post 2025..
by the way,Hyuga and Izumo, just love these Helo Carriers..:enjoy::enjoy::enjoy:

Does it matter?

J15 and J16 is already in production now. :)

At least decent a/c carrier could be a formidable threat to navy without a/c carrier.

it does matter.if Land Based Aircraft is used to support CBGs,whats the use of Carrier here??

also,J-15 and J-16??should you not worry about how you're going to operate them with full load after it was published that these aircrafts are handicapped because they can't flew with full load??till the new carrier comes, you shouldn't boast about it........

Thank you, @GR!FF!N , we are also proud to have the privilege of interacting, training with the Indian Navy, a naval force with a proud and rich naval warfare history ! We, members of the JMSDF, are impressed with the shear professionalism of Indian Navy personnel whenever we have the capacity to work and interact with them. Either it through RIMPAC, or through anti-piracy activities in the Gulf.

I see a rich future and limitless possibilities in the cooperation of our two navies. :)

yup,but not against advanced Naval force like JMSDF.also,we're not yet prepared to fight in distant shores, and in waters close to our shore, our IAF is enough to take care of anything.but yes,India is about to become a potent Carrier force.its sad that INS Viraat has little life left and are going to be retired next year.we're possibly going to get our next Carrier by 2020.1 45000 ton Carrier with a 40000 ton ADC is not bad at all.wish our LSD project takes off soon and we get all 4 LSDs by 2022-2023.that is going to be a proper show of force.

Who said JH-7 is to support CBG?? That is your assumption :roftl:

As I said: it is either J15 or J16 to support CBG.

Who said it is handicap?

The reason J-15 cannot carry full load is because CV16 Lianoing is not equipped with CATOBAR. So is applied with other a/c operated in other sky jump carrier (HMS Queen Elizabeth, Invincible, etc).

But what make you thing half loaded J-15 is not enough to counter hyuga/vikram?

Interaction between our Naval Forces has just started my friend.it has endless possibilities.by the way,I always proposed for an idea of jV of next gen submarines between India and Japan.Though India feels more relaxed with working western countries like France and Germany, fearing US technology used in Japanese Sub can handicap IN in future, but truly,Indo-Japan JV can do marvels.India has excelled in making advanced missiles and torpedos along with rich experience of using best platforms coming from France,Germany and Russia,Japan can lend their expertise of their experience of making advanced SSKs like Soryu..and we're going to get a formidable next get platform.Same goes for Next Gen Aircrafts as well..

at last,Japan proceeded in the similar path, offering us their Soryu after India asked...first step towards right direction..

did you see the picture properly??its JH-7 flying.did you ever see any country publishing pictures of land based aircrafts providing fire support/Air Cover to a CBG while Carrier borne Aircraft is absent??I know Liaoning is capable to launch handicapped J-15s.but thats probably not going to be fruitful in case of war.

Let's keep to the subject matter. Thanks, gentlemen.

India is a natural friend and partner for Japan. I am sure of the bright future both our nations and peoples have with each other. Together, Japan and India will be a force for stability , anchoring the Indian Ocean and the Pacific Ocean in a bedrock of development , peace, and continued prosperity.

Japani - Hindi Bhai Bhai ! :)

wrong.the reason is J-15's weight.its way too heavy to launch using Ski Jump.India launched much smaller Mig-29K from Viky with full load, using Ski Jump.you're comparing Queen Elizabeth??its going to use F-35B,a VTOL/STOVL aircraft.don't know about Hyuga, but it is speculated that Izumo is going to carry same aircraft, while J-15 will have to wai for a Catobar Carrier.

LOL. Educate your self about Liaoning first:
Chinese aircraft carrier Liaoning - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Read what Liaoning will carry before making false claim.

Next time if someone show picture of Hyuga with Harrier or F-35 then you will say that Hyuga is supported by Harrier/ F-35?

You dont answer my question: what make you think half loaded J-15 could not beat Hyuga/Vikram?

You'd better stop playing with false assumption.
