A Hungarian Jas-39 Gripen fighter, made by Saab AB, crash-landed during a military drill in the Czech Republic, the Defense Ministry in Budapest said.
Both pilots ejected and were unhurt as the plane overran the runway for unknown reasons, the ministry said in an e-mailed statement on Tuesday. The accident happened at the Caslav military base southeast of Prague, where the Czech, Hungarian and Swedish air forces are holding joint drills, according to Czech Television.
Saab shares reversed gains after the accident was reported, falling as much as 2.4 percent. They later recovered, trading up 0.7 percent to 223.30 kronor as of 4:07 p.m. in Stockholm.
