Shaan Shahid is undoubtedly one of the biggest names of Pakistani cinema or say Lollywood. The 48 years old actor has done more than 450 films since 1990 and won a number of awards. His latest release, Arth – the Destination, is currently running in cinemas.

While promoting his latest flick on One Take, the actor shared that ARY was the one thing which Jawani Phir Nahi Ani lead Humayun Saeed had over him. Answering another question during the same interview, he also suggested that ARY should spread ARY Films in Lahore.

Shaan Shahid, who is popularly known as Shaan, told that it was sad to hear people talking possibilities of renaming Pakistani cinema from Lollywood to Kollywood. “While you were doing dramas and making money, we were making films at that time and we named it Lollywood and its history,” he told. “Rather than doing a teritorial thing, we need to come up with Pakistani flavor, let’s call it Pollywood,” he suggested.

“We have been watering this tree since 1992. Now, you cannot dictate us what we should do or what we should not. Let’s get together, we are fruits of same tree. We have to be eaten by one nation,” he continued.

Reportedly, Arth 2 earlier had Humayun Saeed with Shaan Shahid but the former was replaced by Mohib Mirza.

Pakistani movies are now completely a Karachi based affair i dont see that changing they have better scripts, better marketing and better HOME TOWN SUPPORT
If he cant change that well he should stop complaining i am not a Karachite but i dont shy away from giving them the credit for this revival

Shaan is a Better Actor........ & is right
Actor yes but after waar he seems to have lost his mojo and is lashing out at Karachi based producers and media houses for it
Its not their fault that you continue to jump in expensive films that do little to no promotion

He barely attends to promote his movies except online

Shaan is sounding very bitter he should not let it get better of him.
Humayoon gets support from ary cause humayoons Six sigma production makes massive amount of dramas for Ary so in essence, both humayoon and ary make money off each other.

One thing is common they both films that just revolve around each other.

Arth is bashed for crappy script and for being unnecessarily shaan centric.
Also shaan had enjoyed monolpoly over punjabi and Urdu industry at one time, and misused his power by chopping off other actors scenes too.he should accept and understand those times are long gone , new ppl have come and made their place, industry shudnt have place for monopolies.

Syed noor and shaan both need to overcome their "rejected feelings syndrome" or get over the fact that they are not needed as much as they were in the past as also in the past they were the ones who were crucial in destroying urdu and punjabi cinema.

Btw syed noor should over come his rejection feelings and stop trying to stay relevant with shytty films like Chain aye na that was the laughing stock of the town

i was talking with reference to ARY Films expanding to Lahore as well..... Shaan sure is a diff breed of actors... he is very active on Twitter & have seen his tweets promoting his films

.
And after that he blames others he needs to accept his own mistakes i mean Yalghaar was a 42 crore budget movie and it got tough competition from a cheesy 7 crore Mehrun nisa v lub u
yalgaar was an afront to the concept of movies, i wanted to grab the director and shove his head down a toilet after watching that monstrosity, the mere thought that people from other countries might've watched that movie during foriegn country releases still haunts me.

You know even in Arth mohibs role was earlier given to Humayoon , and later somehow i dunt remember Humayoon left that role and it was rumored there are hard feelings between him and shaan then shaan said humayoon was never supposed to be the part of the film ot was a producer who forced me to cats him

They need to work on synchronising them well, keep a good flow. Stitching up movies is together with Shaan is difficult because as well as an actor, he wants to direct too. A bit much

That could be possible, as bad blood exists between diff actors for real or publicity stunt, as they want to remain in news.
