Apple iPhones suck in the looks department. They look as hideous as those butt-ugly US warships USN keeps trolling in and around SCS and Taiwan. I don't know how anyone can stand owning an iPhone/holding one in their hand.

Winning hands downHmm...surprising..still doesn't compare to even the latest iPhone release from last year
Bro, it is better to die trying than do nothing at all. So what if in 2 years we are still a generation behind? Will China die? We might sell fewer phones, but we will be completely independent. Look at Samsung and TSMC, can they make their own photoresist? Their own 28nm tool? Their own etchers? Ion beam implanters? Polishing machines? EDA? What we are forced to do is even something US cannot do, 1 country against the whole collective West. I believe in 2 years time we will get complete 5nm when the main mainstream is 2nm, by then our prototype EUV should be ready. In a few years time, we will reach the limit for silicon ships at roughly 1nm, it then becomes too expensive to scale down. Don't forget the majority of revenue is generated by 28nm, and we will flood th3 market with these chips to gain market share. It is a different strategy. We ain't just aiming for advanced nodes. Alot of industrial applications are at 28nm. Huawei is not just making money from phones, they are making money from database software replacing oracle and erp replacing Sap. This is much bigger than you think. It is total tech war now. We are the ONLY country one earth able to economically and technologically challenge US. From BRICS to gold backed digital RMB, not everybody is going to buy a 3nm Apple, people in the global south needa affordable goods, not overpriced hype. Lool at how we revolutionised the renewable energy industry and the EV industry. The key to our survival is Russia, energy and materials to power our industry. The rest is just noise. The biggest strategic mistake was handing us Russia on a silver platter.A video on the science. Conclusion is we will see in the next 2 years of China is able to catch up to the cutting edge (and build out a complete supplier and chip making equipment manufacturing capability ) or be held back by sanctions.
I don’t disagree, competition goes on. In fact in the video, Huawei down plays the fact that when analysts did a tear down for the new SMIC chip, it had thee architecture for 5 nm chip technology, and SMIC is able to make them at a certain production level, but is holding back, so that will probably be “revealed” soon enough.Bro, it is better to die trying than do nothing at all.
