What's new

how to know that we have hidden capability in us?

But their is no doubting their martial prowess

They aren't battle tested in today's age, even bruce lee learnt it the hard way(btw, I am not saying that bruce is a perfect example of competitive sports/fighting, he himself wasn't ever battle tested), but he was the one amongst chinese to recognize that learning from other/western styles is important. The issue is practicality of a certain thing. If you are allowed to bring a weapon into a fight would rather choose a katana or gun?

how they were being picked off from afar with the Mongol bows. The Samurai at night rowed up to their boats and got on board and literally slaughtered Mongol solider after Mongol solider with superior swordsmanship.

this falls under the category of strategy.

Muhammad Ali saw defeat and yet came back to be the greatest.

Not gonna argue with that, you only know your level when you have physically punched in the face. Then you bounce back and learn from mistakes.

However I think we're confusing philosophy with martial ability here. Sure the philosophy had grave weaknesses, the whole idea of defeat and then improving upon themselves was lost.

I stated in my other thread, I am not gonna argue about breathing or meditation techniques. If the other guy at-least tried to listen before he went rampant, I could have explained that I am only talking about styles that are practical and can be used in your daily life. Sure you are not going to stop a mugger with a gun from mugging you, in that case no style is going to help. But what I am emphasizing is when you are on equal footing with your opponent.

If he said that and practiced one of the known battle tested styles, I'd take him seriously 100%, and yes I have met many like that. But these folks are the exception not the norm.

Sure you might have seen some folks who have mastered their traditional fighting style, and I can't argue with that but those are rare. In China alone you would rarely find them, but what you will find alot is a bs master of some bs. These form/arts are only good for movies, they aren't practical, where they are 1v3'ing, like in a movie ipman where he 1v a whole army.

I don't know about you but I personally can't take cringe-worthy lines like 'I follow the way of the samurai' or 'death is like air always by my side' on internet seriously.

Again I am not against any reasonable practical fighting style, MMA teaches that, you got to respect other styles, learn from them. You practice, spar with another human being and you fight. You don't just jump around in air and pretend that you are a dragon. Ninjutsu and samurai, next thing here indians are going to start that you can open your hidden third eye by following indian yoga and meditation techniques. I mean come on, we have to differentiate between reality and fiction.

And about the abuses, I hope you have gone through all the chat. I mean, I am up for a decent conversation but the guy chose his way of the samurai /s. And you tell me that he might be some hidden rarest of gem, that might have mastered ancient arts. I don't think so, a person who can't even control his anger after a single comment(which wasn't even directed at him, it was about the ninijutsu style), I can for-sure 100% say he has mastered the art of bs and not some ninja or samurai. You can go through my comments, I wrote that he could have enlightened me(which a normal person would do, if he wants to convince some one) but he wasted that in abuses.

Yes. You have hidden capabilities...you are the super cyborg ninja spiderman! You don't know you have those abilities because when you transform the super cyborg ninja spiderman, your present self does not remember anything! and then you wake up on a roof top wondering how you got there and who are the dead samurai bad guys around you...

Hahahaha r u joking with me?

Do you frequently overthink. Do you love spend time alone? Do you behave differently in a group setting? Do you find anything boring that usually others find interesting or vice versa?

If one or more of above is true then you may have some hidden talent

Yeah i sometimes overthink, i love to spend my time with that person whom i attached with and when he is not with me i mostly like to spend my time alone, yeah i behave different in group settings and yeah it's vice versa what i do people think it's boring and i find it interesting.

hi everyone.
i have made this thread to know that how to know or how to find that we have hidden capability in us?

few days ago, i talked someone(don't want to mention his name) , he told me that i have hidden capability and i asked him that waht hidden capability i have so he said that find it by yourself...
so,
i am so confused and amazed too that i have hidden capability(even though i don't know).

Can anyone tell me how to find out what's hidden in me?

somewhat i know about myself is that i am somewhat different from other people(siblings, parents and relatives).
Allah tumhain apni aman main rakhy... Yeh dor tumhari life a khaternak dor hai. Allah ki aman main. Larkion se Bach k rehna, yeh boht jhot boltay hain.. Apni hifazat tumhary apny hath main hai.
