Gallup have just released their official 'Law and Order report 2018'.

https://www.insightcrime.org/wp-content/uploads/2018/06/Gallup_Global_Law_And_Order_Report_2018.pdf

They have come up with a comprehensive list of the safest countries in the world.

The following questions were asked;

•In the city or area where you live, do you have confidence in the local police force?
• Do you feel safe walking alone at night in the city or area where you live?
• Within the last 12 months, have you had money or property stolen from you or another household member?
• Within the past 12 months, have you been assaulted or mugged?

Asia is the best region on the planet for safety, this includes East Asia 87, South East Asia 86 and South Asia 83 .
US, Canada and Western Western Europe comes second, US and Canada 85 and Western Europe 85.
Third is the Middle East and North Africa 80.
Fourth came Commonwealth of Independent States 74.
Fifth Sub-Saharan Africa 68
The worst was Latin America and the Caribbean 62, not a surprise considering the high number of violent and dangerous countries in the region. I have no idea why people want to go on vacation to these places...

Just another one, I found out that the 'confidence in the local police force' question was the reason why Pakistan did not achieve an 80 plus excellent rank for the country, as most people in Pakistan hate their local force lol.
Anything from the mid 70's is good, well done to India, Sri-Lanka, Bangladesh and of course China.

pakistani police is a terrorist force or else country can be better

I wonder how on earth Myanmar can achieve as high as 85 or India that you can be beaten to death for eating beef or sentenced to be raped for the crime of your cousins .

Why nobody asked for my opinion ?

Honestly,I live in a quite large town and feel safe whenever walking during the day or the night. I have full confidence in the Municipal Police and the National Police forces policing our town,I do witness patrols have been increased in the town, which is good and crime datas show their efforts are paying off. For exemple attacks against people decreased by more than 14%,burglaries decreased by 30%. I don't know anyone who has been stolen or assaulted.

France is a relatively safe country by international standards, although some areas are sh/t,do have higher crime rates than others, but yet lower than you can witness in many other countries.

Absolute numbers means little when it comes to countries with huge populations. Per capita Pakistan, India etc have very low rates, the light shading shows that.

.
These are just statistics, a good area in pakistan or other developing country can be better than a area in a developed country. For example ordinary ppl have higher probability of getting shot in US than in south asia. (excluding the disturbed areas)

Most of Asia has relatively low murder rates, including some nations with active warzones. This to me shows states and societies are generally functional in terms of managing violent crime (relative to ones in Latin America for example). Some states have trouble managing militants and large numbers of deaths can occur due to their activities which are not counted under "intentional homicide".

In the long run militants and wars should be manageable. As long as the core society is functional, recovery and stable development is likely.

I believe that the murder rate and crime rates in general in the GCC (KSA, UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain and Oman), especially among the natives (most of the crime is done by expats and in particular illegal ones) are among the lowest in the world along with the likes of Singapore etc.

Would not be surprised to see the likes of for instance Qatar score even better than Singapore which seems to execute many more people than Qatar does for instance. Similar with UAE.

That shouldn't come as a surprise. Some places of the US are extremely violent and crime ridden while some are very sheltered (live in a safe bubble). America isn't the same throughout, it is heterogeneous.

People from some parts of the US just have a habit of shooting each other and some have found a less deadly way of practising this habit.

.
Australia is a very safe country and our recent rank of number 1 for being the safest country for women is a testament to that.

.
USA
All shootings: Some 13,286 people were killed in the US by firearms in 2015, according to the Gun Violence Archive, and 26,819 people were injured [those figures exclude suicide].

Safer than NZ what a load of crap
