Ramazan has arrived and from the looks of it, it is going to be one hot month. With constant power outages and unrelenting heat, you may have caught yourself counting the number of hours you will be fasting this year.

How long you will fast, however, will depend on where in the world you live.

People living in Greenland will be observing the longest day of fasting this year with 21.02 hours followed by Iceland with 21 hours and Norway with 19.48 hours.

Fasting hours in Pakistan, India and Afghanistan are not far behind with over 15 hours of fasting.

If you live in Australia, on the other hand, you will be observing one of the shortest fasting hours: 11.35.

Here’s an interesting chart of how many hours people in different countries will be fasting.
