How is the world's first solar powered airport faring?

Thanks but I honestly just for my education could someone explain why no one else is doing this?

Are there some unique conditions at this airport?

Grid feed systems basic need is a complex metering that calculates any excess units and adds them to the account when the sun is shining and deduct the amount when there is no sun. Hence do not need batteries. It will slash your bill in half depending on the amount of sunshine you receive. Doing this will not only cost the end user but will cost a very expensive monitoring system by the power provider.

There is many collage and hospitals and company work like this but not fully solar power just 50 or 30 percetnage

If this airport is a pure solar powered system then for sure there are batteries or diesel genset for night time power...Not sure what kind of batteries may be implemented at this project but OPzS and Lithium-Bromide are the promising future of solar power..

Feed In meters are not that expensive..they are basically digital dual meters inside doing simple maths of add and subtract..the AC grid by its design is capable of feed-in if the frequency is match correctly which is done with digital inverter...
