India is a superpower that has no problems at all. If that's what you want to hear, I'll say it.

India's 7 active submarines can easily beat all of China's 68 submarines (including our domestically built nuclear and AIP submarines). Even though India can't even come close to building an AIP submarine.

You can easily overrun us at the Sino-Indian border, despite China having the high ground on the Tibetan plateau, vastly superior border infrastructure, a vastly larger airforce and land forces, and vastly superior ability to bring "force concentration" to the border areas. While Indian soldiers have to trek on foot for a whole day to reach the border areas.

I guess it was a shock when a Chinese diesel-electric AIP submarine went all the way through to Pakistan without being detected once by India. And that's a diesel electric submarine.

That's how we managed to sell 8 of those subs to Pakistan. It proves first hand how far it can go and how easily it can stay undetected.

Search "loud Chinese submarines" on google and that PRC China with an economy at least four times larger than Russia since 1995 makes nuclear submarines as loud as Russian submarines of 1978 vintage Victor III. Japan has 14-16 submarines of superior technology and South Korea has the most ambitious plans to build a huge submarine fleet of latest German designs like type 0214 and indigenous ones which which will put South Korea in a powerful position vis-a-vis China. Even much tinier ROC Taiwan has ambitious plans to revamp its submarine fleet. to counter PRC China.

No, like China always says, we are still a only developing country.

With 1+ billion people and an $11 trillion economy (low per capita income), we still need to do a LOT more before we join the ranks of the developed countries. We need to do a LOT more.

and Pakistan buys from you due to soft loans and not on merit. They were after German 214 and other western types but could not secure funds.

They could easily torpedo the 8 submarines sale if they did detect it.

And don't tell me that they won't respond to an unknown enemy submarine near their coastline, IF they knew about it. And just pretend everything is fine and dandy without even investigating what it is.

That's a good way to put everything you have at overwhelming risk. So no, I'd expect some sort of movement at least if they knew there was a possible enemy sub out there.
