Agree with you that we showed a lot of negligence in our part of handling Afghanistan. But threat of India is so horrible for us in our backyard that even if we try to ignore Afghanistan some how we still need to engage in Afghanistan internal matter in order save our A$$. India is such a pain in this region because of there mentality to be supa powa of the region.

I don't know if some of you specially Indians will agree with me on this or not but Pakistan as recently made some great decision in the foreign policy. After many years civilian government and military are all on same page. This is the real game changer in our favour. America is now listening to us and Indians are now in defensive position in Afghanistan. The puppet Afghan government is not showing aggression against Pakistan instead asking for help to also include them in there master talks with winner Afghan Taliban.

Further in the case of kartarpur corridor Indians were clean bowled by the googly of Pakistan. Even Indian media is also admitting this.

Only thing remaining is Kashmir. Hope we soon see something meaningful in this regard also.View attachment 527717View attachment 527718

please let me take an alternative view. its just an opinion and I welcome all criticism and counter points which are without rehtoric or simple hostility towards India

so in my view Indians do have a role to play in the Afghanistan future.

a positive supportive role of course. India is a relevant regional power and has its stakes in Afghanistan. its relations with Northern Alliance and previous communist regimes and has invested a lot in the infrastructure. I am not talking about its Pakistan specific operations that have caused unrest in Pakistan.

for a positive contributory role that leads to a stable and peaceful Afghanistan, any Indian support must be welcomed and Pakistan shouldn't see it as a threat. a peaceful Afghanistan will also lead to peace and stability in Pakistani tribal areas and beyond and Pakistan wont have any problem allowing Indian Afghan trade transit.
for all this to happen India will have to ensure that its presence in Afghanistan is not for the purpose of fanning troubles inside Pakistan

India and Pakistan have a chance to shine in Afghanistan through bringing peace and stability in this country.
I hope our leaderships are not myopic and not kept hostage to our mutual misgivings.

India has now successfuly made itself a part of Afghan talks. Now we are invited to Moscow Afghan conference, Belgium conference and even the US Afghan peace envoy Zalmay Khalilzad will visit India sometime next month where he will met NSA Ajit Doval.

This was unthinkable just 19 years back.

No matter what you say, they'll always prefer Pakistan simply because of the fact that we're Muslim and share most of the same ethnic groups (Pashtuns, Baloch, Hazaras, Landhas, Dardics and Gujjars).

Remember, we're the one they come to as refugees. Not you.

our personal dislikes and hostilities are irrelevant here
a peaceful Afghanistan will result in great benefit to Pakistan so whoever can help must help we would even encourage Kazakistan for all its worth if it helps. have we not suffered enough through blood and tears in our country? why not address the cause instead of the symptoms. its all good we blame everything to India for all terrorism but it wont help in preventing the terror attacks that have Afghan origin.


there are sane, normal and genuine people on the Indian side too. our positive and peaceful approach to them will make them force their decision makers to stop all hostile activities against Pakistan. they cant afford instability and terrorism inside their country because of their economic drive.

Irrespective of how is in Delhi, I hardy see any peace process progress going forward. Agreed Kashmir is a problem for us more than before, yet I don't see New Delhi speak with a relatively weak Pakistan anytime soon. I personally think Pakistan missed their golden chance 2 decades back when you were relatively powerful and peaceful while we were struggling on multiple fronts
These are just my personal observations. Not sure how far it is related to reality on ground.

I can only humbly salute your point of view. I will add nothing to what you have said, or subtract from it, as that will dilute the force and power of your statement.

fences are symbolic brother. they will be laughed at and ripped off for scrap. a proactive approach of addressing the issue and resolving it will be much better.
