Japan, South Korea and Indonesia all failed in their attempts to build large jets.

How come a "High Tech" country such as Japan cannot build her own Large Jet ? And same question for S. Korea !

You ask some pretty silly questions.

Any country in the world can build it's on jet. But it's just easier to buy off other countries that have already developed them. It's cheaper also. Plus you can trade stuff your country produces for them.

It's called globalization and world trade.

Exactly, the USA is backing Japan.

So the Japanese don't need nukes, and they still have a "pacifist constitution" after their loss in WW2, so they are constitutionally prevented from even making the threat of force against any other country.

And if Japan is in serious trouble, the USA will come to the rescue, just like they did for Georgia, when Russia invaded them in 2008. I.e. They won't come at all.

Japan is focused on next generation weapons

a) Robotics , humonoid warriors, invisibility cloaks
b) They make F16 Japanese versions unlimited amounts
c) They also have a decent Navy in region
d) They also have proper defence setup

Japan also has nuclear technology just has not been implemented into bombs but it fuels its whole country with nuclear power

Japan is a nation that can become a Nuclear nation with in 2-3 months time if war looms

They are also not interested in war , they do have strong reservations but generally they prefer not to go to war
