If I were living in a hot as hell part of India or any other country, cycle is not a fucking option.

I life on a hot island...guess what...all the cycle freaks from all around europe come here to make cycleing holidays... in the hot (summer 35-40°C in shadow!) .... as a resident they are...a pain in the *** ... there are pople lifing on the island doing their daily businiess and need to get from point a to b to c... and everywere you run in solo smal group or huge group of cycelist blocking the roads...because they think this holiday destination is their private training track... sometimes bad accidents happen... last year a woman drove here Porsche Cayenne into a grup of 19 cycelist... some weeks ago I drove on the highway(closed for cycelist) ... guess what I did run into a group of "amateur cycelist racer" who thought the nice paved highway is good for a ride...

It is not only Amsterdam. Bicycles are everywhere in The Netherlands. Yeah no one can live without it including me.
