North Yemeni army (Aka houthis) apparently have captured 3 battalions of mostly southern Yemeni and Sudanese mercenaries as well as a saudi regiment which was advancing towards saada from Najran.

They have also captured 100+ armoured vehicles, weapons and ammunition.

The large operation was the work of 3 months but it was just revealed. The single greatest loss was to a convoy which attempted to advance through a valley before being ambushed by the north Yemeni forces. After a 4 days siege they decided to surrender.

Most of the casualties were a result of Saudi airstrikes against their own forces and not killed by the houthis.

A sad development which shows a major failure in strategy. Pretty sad to see people getting killed because of the foolishness of politicians. All these people had families awaiting their return just as the northern Yemenis have families they are fighting to protect against foreign aggression.

For the people commenting. Please keep it about politics/strategy/outcome and refrain from cursing the dead or turning it into a sectarian matter.

Pakistan army made similar blunders when it first started fighting the Pakistani Taliban. Saudis should have send attack helicopters with the convoy to provide air support.

Last thing the Houthis need to do is take advice from you!

Go shoot some heroine you Poorsian.

My condolences man, never knew you were so sad about this stuff.

Last time they were claiming that they attacked Aramco facilities , people like you were saying this nonsense ....

Iran did the Aramco attacks. Meanwhile this is two week battle between Houthi's and Saudi trained Yemeni brigade. Several hundred stopped fighting and surrendered. Supposedly dozens of Saudi soldiers killed/captured. No one believes three Saudi brigades captured like Houthis originally claimed.

Can you tell us what you are trying to achieve with all this violence. Is it religious motivations against Saudis or what is it.

Btw, this is an old video. The Houthis say they will release footage tomorrow.

I’m not exactly pro Saudi,
But it’s unfortunate that the Human Resources of the arabs go towards war rather than development. Saudi is a rich country with tons of potential. If they decided a different approach to Yemen both Saudi Arabia and Yemen would have been a better position. MBS thinks he can win wars with shiny toys and money. I guess he learned the hard way that’s now how the world works.

A soldier fighting for a cause will not hold back. Mercenary fighting for a paycheck is a different story.

Rookie mistake.

Sad and shameful.
