PRC for sure, the Brits only milked HK like a cash cow and won't subsidize them during the Asian financial crisis occurred in 1997.

I always knew that Shanghai would surpass us in GDP one day. And it looks like it will happen soon.

Yeah, in today Shanghai surpasses Hong Kong, in tomorrow Shanghai itself may get surpassed by another city, maybe Tianjin.
