As an economic reformist, yes. He did a superb job. But as a Supreme military commander I have least respect for him. I don't know what to say about his leadership skills. If he were a good leader he would have listened to his best generals (Rommel and Manstein) particularly in 1944, when the situation went beyond hand.

The whole economic "progress" made by Hitler was intended for an all out war total war. He created millions of jobs by investing heavily in his defence industry and infrastructure... everything made to prepare for war.
All this was only possible by taking insanely amounts of debts... which could only be repaid by raiding other nations.

Hitler simply showed at the wrong time and in the wrong place, thats who he plunged the world into the worst 6 years of human history

Yes, WW2 did speed up our independence movement significantly.... but this was not intended and thus cannot be used to judge whether he was good or not.
