In 1971, as Indian trained, equipped and fully backed Mukti Bahini was wreaking havoc in the then East Pakistan by committing false flag atrocities to disillusion the general population against Pakistan Army by maligning it, India made its case for justifying its open and direct Military intervention in East Pakistan in no fewer than four ways.

Both publicly and privately, at home and abroad, the Indian government offered an interlocking series of at least four claims:

(i) An argument from human rights,
(ii) An argument from genocide,
(iii) An argument from self-determination, and, finally,
(iv) An argument from Indian sovereignty.

The last argument-that Pakistan's internal problem had become an internal problem for India too-was the most atrocious challenge to the sovereignty of another nation as any made by one enemy country against another to date.

If Pakistan is to apply the same standards that India adopted to sever East Pakistan from the West then the resolution of Indian Occupied Kashmir issue becomes just an internal matter of Pakistan to militarily intervene and solve for the betterment of the region at large, exactly as India claimed it was doing in 1971.

The Indian rhetoric did not stop there, but parallels were drawn with Hitler's Nazi atrocities and practices during second world war as another excuse by India.

How Ironic that today India is faced with the same situation by no fault of any other nation but that of its own Hindutwa Extremist Leadership that has brought the wrath of history to bear on itself in Kashmir. A manifestation of History repeating itself in no uncertain terms as ever... MakafateAmal...

Your thoughts will add a lot of value to this thread please @Horus @Irfan Baloch @Oscar @Arsalan @waz @The Eagle @Dubious

Following is a video by Dr. Shahid that draws a similar parallel as has been drawn above:

It's jihad: Imran on Kashmir after returning from US

Prime Minister Imran Khan on his return from the United States on Sunday said that those standing by Kashmiris were doing 'jihad' and Pakistan will support Kashmiris even if the world does not.

Prime Minister Khan, who focussed on the Kashmir issue in his maiden address to the United Nations General Assembly, told his party workers at the airport in Islamabad that 'whether the world is with the Kashmiris or not, we are standing with them'.

"It (standing by Kashmiris) is jihad. We are doing it because we want Allah to be happy with us," he said.

More like this

Imran warns of 'direct military confrontation'

'Even Pakistan will ditch Kashmir...'

"It is a struggle and do not lose heart when the time is not good. Do not be disappointed as the Kashmiris are looking towards you," he said.

He said 'Kashmiris would win if the Pakistani people stood by their side'.

Khan on Friday raised the Kashmir issue in his address to the UNGA and demanded that India must lift the 'inhuman curfew' in Kashmir and release all 'political prisoners'.

In his speech that went on for about 50 minutes, far exceeding the 15-minute limit for UN speeches during the General Debate, Khan devoted half of his address to the Kashmir issue, warning that if there's face-off between two nuclear-armed neighbours, the consequences would be far beyond their borders.

His war rhetoric was in sharp contrast to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's peace message from the same podium few minutes earlier in which he said India is a country, that has 'given the world, not war, but Buddha's message of peace'.

Pakistan has been trying to internationalise the Kashmir issue after India withdrew the special status of Jammu and Kashmir on August 5, but New Delhi has asserted the abrogation of Article 370 was its 'internal matter'.

India's decision evoked strong reactions from Pakistan, which downgraded diplomatic ties and expelled the Indian ambassador.

India ended Jammu and Kashmir's special status by abrogating Article 370 of its Constitution on August 5.

. . .
From Kashmir to Junagadh, from Jammu to Bangladesh, the hypocrisy Hindustan indulges in to peddle its own land grabbing fascist agenda is stunning.

The world isn't stupid that it doesn't see or comprehend this hypocrisy. The truth is that the world simply ignores this hypocrisy because of whatever dovetailing interests they conveniently happen to have with India.

It is only Indians who actually truly believe in Indian propaganda.

The call for Jihad needs to come from the Mullahs and the Madrassas, not from IK.

Who said anything about Jehad? Its not the Jehad but the other Jehad which is not Jehad Jehad.

Jehad becomes official only when declared by head of state. Head of state is President Alvi.

IK just pulled the biggest trick in the face of Modi yet again that Modi will end up crying like his long lost friend sitting in Kot Lakhpat.

No open talk of The Jehad Jehad people, nothing to discuss here about that.

Brother mine,

The Jihad Jihad is a big no no.. because PMIK is Pacifict. He is PeaceMaker not warmonger.

Last night I went to bed wondering... how long will it take for GanguMedia to call PMIK a Terrorist.... well it has begun.

PMIK only said that Standing with PakKashmiris in IoJK is Jihad. So it was kosher ...

KhooniLiberals
are already out for his blood after the UNGA seech.. heck even Diesel talked against nukkleer war.. while critising PMIK speech... so FazoolMullahMaffia is not going to go any Jihad Jihad... they want Islamabad and nothing else... so Diesel is a goodboy now.. in the market. Diesel da Leeder of LiberalForces.

President of Pakistan is not going to declare any Jihad Jihad... he is a dentist!

Honestly, I didn't expect nuance from PMIK... he has learnt it rather fast... but then time is ending faster afterall.

Mangus
He has done what was required of him and no body can blame him for anything at the same time. That's a master stroke marking the start of a long struggle after August 5th.

I agree but would our government really intervene in IoK , militarily? . How? . Try pushing India to attack Pak and then justify our militarily intervention ? .

Hi and thank you for the reply. Did our government instigate the abrogation of article 370?
I'd leave the How? to the professionals as in Pakistan Armed Forces as the good DG ISPR stated in his media talk.

An intense armed conflict between Pakistan and India appears to be in the offing. How would it get started and proceed, Nobody can say?

All mullahs are busy with the likes of Qandeel baloch
Jihad calls comes from the leader of the nation. No mullah is the leader of paksitan. Thank God

The call for Jihad needs to come from the Mullahs and the Madrassas, not from IK.

I think it will be a low heat simmer for quite a while and may be a skirmish but with super powers keeping lid on things for good measure.
