That seems to be the direction these people will eventually go in if they are able. However, the way I see it, the Indians will be further weakening their already weak position against the external forces (China and Pakistan) that sit at its borders.

The fact is that they have literal hundreds of millions of Muslims and other minorities. These types of programs will only alienate them and make them more susceptible to foreign manipulation.

Add to this the fact that Muslims have a global 'jihad' infrastructure in place which has gained a lot of experience in asymmetrical warfare. With hundreds of millions of Muslims and such, the pool of potential recruits would be vast.

There was always a deep rooted hatred against Muslims. It just is that in the last couple of decades it has become socially acceptable and highly rewarding to flaunt your anti-Muslim credentials.
