Let's see what Pakistan's Federal government says about this
The Government, especially the Punjab Gov does not consider public opinion when making decisions.
You will find that many people in Pakistan would oppose such moves staunchly, the people were and are for freedom of religion or anything else for that matter.
Sure there will be a few who will commend this but as you can see from the comments, many would be infuriated by this.
What about the Urdu/Punjabi speaking ones?
Last i checked all kids regardless of social standing watched Cahchoo Chaudhry and chotta bhim. Stop reading too much into things.
Not really - there is a dichotomy between the English speaking people of Pakistan and the majority of these would be reasonably liberal. What about the Urdu/Punjabi speaking ones?
