Lol. Tamil is not the only language of South. In reality more people from South speak Telugu than Tamil. This selective outrage is only limited to Tamilians though. Unfortunately Language is made a political subject in Tamilnadu.

Also he did not go to Tamil nadu. Its a pan India doctor's conference. Ayush is ayurvedic ministry. You can't expect them to be well versed in English.

By the way, there was no arrogance on his part. He just said, since he can't speak English very well, those who wish to leave can do so.

Tamils have a dignity which you dont have. what do you mean others dont make noise ? last time i checked vast majority of telugu people (practically none above 50 - am i wrong?), kannada or kerala speak dont speak hindi. INfact most of rural bengal and rural maharashtra to. India is a hindi empire and you pay taxes to be its willing slave - laughing off embarrassingly when he asks people not knowing hindi get out (which can include your own relatives) in a tax payer funded program and where it is clearly written that indian govt has two official languages - hindi and english.

Corruption is expected in any indian govt official. Its a fake nation artificially contrived you cant expect saints. So we should judge whether they have raised a valid point or not - and not whether they are saints or not.

That would set a wrong precedence. I am a telugu, I completely understand the Ayush secretary position. He was being harangued by those who want him to speak in English. Clearly he can't speak in English fluently. And there was verbal duel going on among hindi and non hindi speaking participants. So to cut out the disturbance, he asked those who can't understand him to leave the conference. I don't know what else could he have done?

It's a conference not a lecture. In a conference, speakers are given choice to speak in a language that is comfortable to him because they are the ones sharing the knowledge. You cannot force him to speak in a language that you are comfortable in.

Tamil language nationalism is more of a safeguard for Tamil regional parties to protect their base against the Modi wave. This way, they are making sure anyone from outside are seen as alien. This will backfire, mark my words.

i know tamil regional parties exploited language issue as tool for getting vote against congress , but this secretary should have appealed simply that he is not fluent in english , men at this level are supposed to handle such issues diplomatically .

WHy not ask them to leave the nation. Those who dont want to learn the cowbelt language can leave the country right ? it is a tax payer funded conference, Every participant has the right to be communicated in any language they can understand. They are not even asking it to be in tamil. They are asking it in English one of the official languages of India.

One thing you indians lack is a sense of justice. I noticed it in forums - most social forums have a section for justice - only indian forums generally dont have it. you dont get it - do you ?

some type of love hate exist in every state for outsiders . this is natural .you will find some sort of jealousness in pahari people against maidani . this you will find in every hill state . same is the case between north and south .

yes it was very foolish to consider south indian yoga teachers will understand hindi , they should have organized it in thindi and english.
