I'm asking, why should Tamil Nadu and other non-Hindi states have signboards in Hindi to facilitate Hindi speakers when South Indian languages aren't featured in North Indian signboards? This makes literally no sense. You know, German is spoken in five European countries (yes FIVE) but you'll never see German signboards in Italy, France or anywhere else.

And you answered the question yourself, if English is already there as the international lingua franca why burden the southern states to learn Hindi on top of that? Southern Indians are completely justified in resenting this favouritism of a particular language over theirs
