It is a good system when properly layered under multiple other systems and kept mobile as India is doing so with multiple dispersion sites within a short radius (a headache for its crews.. ask your S-300 guys) - but the Russians have thrown their own doctrines into the trash can because of poor training and now poor resources.

However, definitely not worth losing the F-35 over this especially since Turkey’s own domestic industry is soon going to be capable of providing comparable systems without the overhead of both spares and diplomatic costs.

This was just their current government going into an ego trip and their associated business cabal encouraging it.

The US only sends like 300 HIMARS rockets to Ukraine per year. There's less than 1 rocket available per day.
