A lot has been said and written about recent speech by COAS Bajwa during security conference held in Islamabad. A 50/50 split was observed across the entire spectrum of society.

In my personal opinion some parts of the speech were not appropriate and oozed weakness. An army chief is not supposed to give these kind of statements. Maybe a side effect of getting too much involved in politics. An old tired looking general saying "lets burry the past" destroys overall morale.

It doesn't matter what kind of pressure was exerted on Pakistan and from where. These statements shouldn't have been given and especially at this point in time. It made Pakistan look as mighty as Bangladesh (no offense).

Some of the fellow members here might jump (they have done it before as well) and respond with...Do you want war. We can't fight war. Or how these statements have been a massive political victory of Pakistan and they have made Pakistan look soo nice in front of the whole world.

Yep made them more bolder. The statement was not needed by him.
But anyway, what's done is done.

Lol that’s exactly how you offend someone, no offense part is secondary... why hide under it when it is your intention

For years India has been playing the victim game, Pak Army chief's speech did exactly what it was supposed to, it showed the world Indians real face.

Its good now people are realizing how intellectually bankrupt Pakistan's civil mil establishment seems.

This idea that without india , Pakistan cannot progress economically is being floated. This is pure incompetence from Pakistani civil mil establishment.

Pakistan made a blunder by not heating up the Loc and exerting pressure elsewhere ( Afghanistan and inside india) when india was being hammered by China.

The result is this.

The idea is floated by reviewing basic theories of economics and is one many an economists will agree with. If we are to realise our true economic potential, animosity needs to put aside.

That being said, I for one, don't agree that India and Pakistan can or should come together, even if it prevents both countries from reaching their full potential. Unlike Germany and France who only had conflict for power, our conflict runs deeper than just menial power claims. It is an ideological conflict and that has never been settled with anything else but war. We need to wake up from this fool's nightmare and man up to measure up to India.

we fools fall for their trap once again and this not the last time.
I usually dont believe in ethnicities but our army and its top tier is mostly punjabi and we all know our punjabi brothers are not much fond of fighting. If the top tier of military were pashtun and balochs, ud see a totally different army. We need an army lead by pashtuns and baloch, the warrior people who are not afraid of war or death. History is something to learn from.

like the brave warriors of ANA

This is a racist post and you need bit of context and history to know the fact about Punjabis.

It is a racist post when a Punjabi warrior was the one who not only captured a Pushtun land forever but also made sure that no thug ever tries his adventure in Punjab. The only fault of Punjabis is that they are accommodating and don't go after titles/posts.
