Scom has best coverage in azad kashmir but you will need to buy it from kashmir

Blackburn is like 2.5 hours from me and it's North. I have family in Darwen and I only visit if someone dies. Feck driving up there.

Hello all,

its that time again i find myself on a wild adventure. im going to Pakistan as a guest with some mates who are also Pakistanis (duh) Last time i went which was a while back i was in the position where i could not use data on my phone and ring the UK. i was stuck to using my mates parents phones. it was all short notice and i had no time to plan for such event. now i want it to be differant. im assuming there's a large British Pakistani diaspora here and would have some extensive knowledge on how to obtain a pakistani sim, where i can use data in pakistan in the dadayaal district in kashmir, and phone the uk and send/receive emails. im going for about 6 weeks which is more than a month so i dont mind paying for two months and then giving the sim away to some kid and burn the data on youtube.

how do i go about getting said sim card here in the uk?
or what are the altertatives ?

This is for Zong but should hold for other operators too. Ask the people you are staying with to advise which operator has the best service in their area. Visit the outlet with your passport or NICOP and register and get a sim on the spot.

No then half of RAW and British Intelligence will be setting up their infrastructure in Pakistan and running the show from UK

1. Make sure your phone is unlocked to all networks.

2. Make sure you have a NICOP card.

3. Go to a Pakistani shop (used to be in the airport, but not sure anymore, and just buy any sim. Ask the shop keeper which network has deals on for data. Depending on where you go, some networks are better for coverage telenor is good for the Mirpur, kotli etc.

They might even register it for you at the shop if you ask.

NICOP is only for overseas Pakistanis.
Foreigners can get the sim card by showing their passport. He needs a copy of the passport so bring it with you a copy because the copier may not be available at the outlet. I travelled with my european friends and they wanted data-sims so we need to show passports and submit copies at the outlet @Blue Marlin. There are many outlets and a lot of packages to choose from. Normally the package lasts for upto 30 days only depending on the usage. But you can top up any time from any outlet.

i realised that i would have to sort it out over there, thats the main concern. the visa was sent off a a few days ago thats no problem. flights are booked and im staying at my mates.
