Help needed from Pakistani Friends

. .
Hello Pak friends,

I received a call from a no (923044469594) which looks like that of Pakistan. I was attending a call and then I missed it. I called the no back which was busy and the auto reply to me was in kind of urdu spoken in Pakistan. I then received a call from the same no. The guy said his name is Akash Sharma calling on behalf of Airtel from Bandra, Airtel office to notify me of 25 lacs that I have won. I could see that the guy is lying and his diction to is different. When I confronted him about the no being from Pakistan he admitted that he is calling from a call center in Pakistan and then line was disconnected. I immediately lodged a complain to Airtel and nearby police. Now, police wants me to know if I have friends in Pakistan and why did I make the call ? :hitwall:

Man it is serious. They are some sort of gang doing such activities. I have heard, they also call to meet with 2-3 lakh amount to win 25 lakh , they even stabbed persons to snatch 2-3 lakh. Best way do not entertain such call. But i wonder what the hell Indian police is doing to curb such menace ? they question back the victim to get some bribe.

This used to be the trend in Nigeria in the past & looks like some Pakistanis picked up the cue. Have experienced this myself few months ago when I had a similar call from some Pakistani number. Since I had the caller ID display on my direct line, told the guys to give the money to the charity!! boy.. i was called all the names under the sun by the voice at the other end!!

To Everyone here in PDF,

I am a regular visitor of this site (on a daily basis) for last 3 years but don't post or reply anything due to lack of time.

BTW, I would be in Lahore next month just after holi on a business trip. My company wants me to go an assist the local operations for a big government deal. I would be in Lahore for 3-4 days.

On a funnier note: The above incident did happen couple of days back. I went to police for passport verification and narrated this incident and they asked the questions I mentioned just for fun.

and yes, I installed a RAW apps and all the calls coming from Pakistan is blocked now

No one is paranoid about Pakistan--The most obvious answer that you would get if you refer Pakistan in anything is 'WHO CARES'. (Not to be taken otherwise)...India has moved guys, there is a big section and more so in IT sector who think globally.
