New here, but enjoying this forum already. A good mix between friendlies and hostiles from all around the world. As my name might suggest to some, my origins lie near the Nilgiri Hills in the South of India...where a family of charming Swiss Built Steam locos still ply some scenic gradients and hair pin bends. Nothing quite like it anywhere in the world!

Let me use the suggested rubric for starters:

1) Tell your interests

Gee there are lots for sure. If I had to pick a few notable ones it would be:

- Astronomy (especially photographing deep space objects)
- Target shooting (nothing quite like the feeling of getting a perfect group)
- Fishing (Plenty of that in Canada, landed a good sized pike a few days back)
- History + Economics, love to read and debate topics, theories and alternate "what ifs". A good book about a famous general, battle or civilisation is something hard to resist.
- Chess + Go, Chess was my first real game interest....I got quite good at it a few years back, now I mostly watch professional games and solve chess puzzles. Go is something I have gotten into more recently.
-Engineering in general, especially materials and propulsion (thankfully both play a big part in my job too). Tinkering with and riding my 91 Trans Am is one of my guilty pleasures.

2) What do you do. 5) What is your profession?

I am an Aerospace Engineer by profession working at Pratt Canada, involved in turbine blade design and testing.
I also trade stocks quite actively.

3) How did you find us

Been shadowing the forum for a while....chuckling at some of the discussions and members in general. Figured it won't hurt to join and give my 2 cents here and there....and maybe make some friends and acquaintances along the way.

4) What interests you here?

Would love to participate in topics about Economic growth and development. On the military side, various technologies (though I prefer reading than debating...because we rarely have the full picture).

6) Future plans?

Plan to visit more places in the world, meet more people, experience more cultures. Along the way hopefully I will find Miss Right somewhere. Till then I am enjoying the Bachelor life quite thoroughly.

--------------------

Give yourself a brownie point if you can get me angry/annoyed....I like to stay chill, relaxed and level headed.

So I hope to see y'all around and have some good old fun!

Feel free to ask me any questions here, I'll do my best to reply promptly.
