In my colony, there were designated camps for animals and for slaughter. Or you could do that in your house near a hose. The blood was drained properly , the intestines were put in huge polythene bags and put outside near our bin. Collected by the cleaning staff.

This was possible due to implementation of rules.

The skin was donated to 2 camps outside. Operated by SKH and an Islamic welfare org.

In other places, where there were no rules, I'm sure it must have been a filthy affair, with the rain making it worse.
