Has anybody ever read Imran series, what do you think about this secret service novel series. There were many writers writing this novel series , who is the best writer of imran series in your opinion.

. . .
I have been crazy about Imran Series back in my teens. That was approx 20 years ago. Until 20 years of age, i have follwed every Imran Series novel diligently, but after that ... well, lets just say "life" happened.

My favorite writer of Imran Series was "Mazhar Kaleem". I still remember those golden days of espionage, and am actually sad that i couldn't find out about the after-math of "Black Thunder" (a deadly Secret Organization, Imran, Julia, Safdar (his teammates) were up against). I am also sad that i couldn't read more of "Imran vs Julia" :p

Good ol' days.

Yes... I read Ibn e Safi and nazar Kaleem,,, and I think mazhar kaleem's is more interesting with action and suspense... What do u think?

Wasn't it "Asrar Ahmad" (Ibn-e-Safi) who actually "Created" Imran Series? Personally, Asrar Ahmad was the one who kept the series close to its original persona. Mr A-Hameed had his own writing style but given his seriousness in writing, i never really liked his writing of Imran Series (not to forget that he write magnificently well, when we talk about his other writings)

So after Ibn-e-Safi, Imran Series was best portrayed by Mazhar Kaleem's pen. The persona of Imran was kept close to original, and his "wit" and "sarcasm" was most noticeable in Mazhar Kaleem's publications.

Btw, hats off to these guys thinking. They had great minds. This is the kind of stuff we are seeing in hollywood movies these days and they wrote that stuff from their mind. Thats just Mind Blowing.

Don't forget his biggest hit on PTV ainak wala jin :D , that had cult viewership in its days. By the way I did not know that A-Hameed also wrote imran series. that is new for me.

mazher kaleem yaar and BTW we give 3 rupees rent for a novel back then still that shop is there damn when i visited pakistan 2010 i visit that shop and feel so bad to lost those days

Did you ever read some novel from a writer called "Safdar Shaheen" , he was also good writer of imran series and used to give a lot of importance to the character of "Safdar" because of being hamnaam to him

well guys i was always been a fan of ibn e safi and read each of his 125 novels. Funny part is i m in my forties now and still reading mazhar kaleem and safder shaheen. Most of these books are available in libraries in manchester and the good part is they are all free.

I used to buy them on "Itwaar bazar" where they used to sell old imran series novels for few bucks only

I only remember few details, like girls in Mumbai in like long hair like heroes in bollywood so Imran was advices against getting hair cut. :D

There is some kind of intimate relationship between Imran and Julia but Julia somehow never acknowledged it in explicit words, julia is a poondi character for imran in imran series :smokin:

I only read one imran series novel of Ibne Saffi and I found that Imran of Ibne Saffi was not really that much of a superman as Mazhar kaleem and Safdar Shaheen later on made him in their novels.

ibn e safi was the best, mazhar kaleem's novels have turned out to be really boring and repetitive. no originality at all(well that is to be expected if one is stealing others characters).
