The picture that media is portraying makes one believe so; but the truth is far from it.I admit there are sporadic incidents of violence on so called minorities. Such violence is also committed by Muslims on Hindus in many parts of India which the media does not report.
The first and foremost thing one should remember is unlike Muslims Hindus are not a homogeneous unit.They are divided by castes ;besides, some of those castes are not present across India.for example there isn't any corresponding caste of rajputs in south India..so a rajput can never marry a south Indian even if he or she is a Kshatriya.Literally a south Indian Hindu is completely unrelated to a rajput.There are many such castes which are region specific.
Even the rituals are different from region to region.Hindus therefore can never have this feeling of unity Or oneness.Over the years the successive governments across India have taken Hindus granted for this reason.They know that Hindus won't vote on religious lines.
Muslims because of their unity and violent disposition made mockery of Hindus and their beliefs;they killed thousands of Hindus.Hindus processions have always been targeted by pelting stones;throwing beef in temples used to be a common phenomena;cutting cows in Broadwday light in Hindu streets was a common occurrence during bakrid.indulging in violence and plunder after jumma namaz supporting Osama,protesting against the persecution of rohingyas,shouting down down Israel (many of those people who shout don't even know what they are shouting for ) or making Saddam Hussein a hero. Many hindus havr been killed over the years because of mayhem muslims create after juma namaz.Muslims even used to support Pakistan during cricket matches and burn Indian flags in places like old city of Hyderabad.
Hindus were very upset with this behaviour of Muslims.They were equally upset with the corrupt media which does not highlight the wrongdoings of muslims in india but which is quick to latch onto any news that can tarnish the image of hindus;because they want to prove to the world that they are liberals and seculars.
The anger and anguish started piling up among hindus;they started feeling they are outsiders in their own country;they had no one to turn to when their religious beliefs are made mockery of;they were angry why only their religious beliefs and rituals should be targetted by all those who consider themselves liberals;why do they keep mum when Muslims threaten the likes of tasleema nasreen or when Muslims create havoc in azad maidan in Mumbai or outside juma masjid in Hyderabad over what happened in some distant country.Why don't these seculars and liberals call for a draw prophet event when they can call for eat beef event?
Because of that frustration and because of Muslims disregarding and making mockery of Hindus gods and traditions we sometimes see incidents like dadri;I can assure you there are equal if not more number of Hindus killed by Muslims in various parts of India which the sold out press doesn't report.
