mousavi was always a Khamenei rival since the beginning of the revolution. His only powerbase was Khomeini. after Khomeini died, he was promptly ejected from politics.

Now he comes back in 2009, and among his platforms is giving control of the police to the interior ministry. (bassiaclly taking the police force from under khamneis command to the presidents). Khamenei is notoriously sensitive on positions he considers his domain. His fall out with Ahmadinejad was because Ahmadinejad tried to excersise his consititional right to pick his own intel minister (which was picked off the books by Khamenei) and his political career ended.

does anybody believe a guy like mousavi was going to be toleretaed? he had impeccable revolutioonry credentials. And had 0 fear of going up against khamanei, irgc and the hardliners

there is 0 chance he was going to win. IR governemnts mistake was not disqualifying him early and letting him rev up a large portion of the population.

endorsed heavily by the modererates witnh the entire nation fired up. people dancing openly in the streets. nationalised debates etcetfc...

you mean to tell me in this environment, plus considering the other circumstantial evidence of mousavi's platforms, and rivalry with Khamenei. You mean to tell me the Iranian people overwhelmingly voted Ahmadi?

RESTART is an influential political mystical program that broadcasts from Hosseini’s radio station “Radio Pasto”, Since 2016.

“Good Night Iran” is another program hosted by Mr. Hosseini.

This program offers strong political analysis of the current situation in Iran. Hosseini has written and directed this program since 2016.

Due to the above programs, Seyed Mohammad Hosseini has become a powerful opposition figure in Iranian politics. After only a year of broadcasting, 20 million young and intelligent Iranian people have begun to listen to his radio programs. It has spread quickly with the help of social media platforms like Telegram, Instagram and Facebook. Some people claim, that it is now the largest people power movement in Iranian modern history.

The young people who listen to RESTART also undertake collective political actions which Mr. Hosseini calls “challenges”.

The challenges have included the paint challenge, the noise bomb challenge and the profile picture challenge. The paint challenge asked followers to throw paint at Iranian government buildings, including Iranian embassies in other countries, marking them as targets. This was done in the lead up to the Iranian presidential election day in May 2017. Many people took up this challenge and did so in the following countries: Iran, Australia, Germany, England and many other countries.

The leader of RESTART Encouraged all his followers for fire challenge to burn down mosques, government places and police stations from October 2017 fearlessly.

These young people are desperate for change to come to Iran. They demonstrate their commitment to the cause, by risking their lives, taking action and then sharing pictures and videos on social media, to prove it. They want the world to know about their movement and to appreciate it’s power and for the Iranian government to take note of the sheer amount of people who are demanding change.

Thats pretty much what I was thinking too,basically another ahmed chalabi or those former government members or exiles who started coming out of the woodwork after the attack on libya and the beginning of the terrorist campaign against syria,all trying to start their own political movements in the hope of being the next western appointed vassal ruler of whatever was left of the country.Just parasites really,altho when one goes from calling on ones dupes....I mean followers,to go from paint bombing government buildings to fire bombing them instead as this fellow has,then one has clearly crossed the line from mere vandalism to terrorism and should be dealt with accordingly.
