We never chose India and there's a difference between Medical tourism and choosing sides.

medical tourism is from our PoV...and are meant for western clienele.. from your pov, you just want to get cured no matter who does it. Surely people who hate India will go to thailand/singapore/malayasia where similar or better facilities are available.

There's a difference between importing goods from India and buying goods from India even though it hurts our own economy (for example foods such as imported Lays, hurts the domestic producers). Also, almost every country has a variety of trade partners and several suppliers froom different country of the same good. One example is oil.

Im all for domestic production. And hope people buy BD products only. And consider people more patriot who does that. Since only low income people choose that. If one has more money he will go for foreign products. Its in people's mind. And BD domestic producers often cheat people with low quality products. So its natural to go for foreign. And Im all for coal production uprooting people from their homes. Since recent national problem after Meghalaya stopping coal export.

Its actually good hospital. Many Bangladeshis go to India for medical treatments. So to attract Bangladeshi patients many hospitals give such discounts.

dont know.. medical tourism is generally aimed at western countries where healthcare is expensive.. so much so that even if they fly in they will save money. Discount is rarely given, usually they pay more than Indians.
Thats how big corporate hospitals make money... (groups like apollo). It is sold as package sometimes, so that you/your relatives can combine pleasure(travel to touristy places) in addition to getting cured.

The one you are showing is at different end of spectrum. May be its a good hospital but am sure nobody in India knows about it..and the name is surely dodgy...

Yes but it's our government's responsibility to protect the domestic producers, thus it needs higher tariffs for imports.

You need to understand we are surrounded from all sides by India. So it was sooner or later going to separate from Pakistan. If we had West Bengal and North East India along with East Bengal we would have been stronger country. Bangladesh for its existence needs to depend on India to some extent due to geographical position.

ask yourself, did India fully accept its own existence with that of East and West Pakistan after the 1947 setup? if India had recognized the right of East Pakistan to exist, then you could talk about good relations and interdependence. but here we are talking about how to first stop India from further destroying us as they have been doing since 1947, so good relations and interdependence needed for the prosperity of the entire region can follow.

i have said in a lot of my earlier posts repeatedly, that East and West Pakistan were already separate since 1947 and naturally would have more separation in the governance for obvious reasons. but it doesn't mean it was India's job to invade one of them and cause the separation. why couldn't we remain East Pakistan even though we were surrounded by India? and why was the Indian invasion and conversion to 'Bangladesh' justified? please connect the dots for me.

We don't need any sort of dependency from India, we have a sea that connects to an ocean which leads us to the International market. Those border only matter if we are to trade with India.

And the last thing any nation would want is to be dependant on another nation.
