Only if General James Wolfe hadnt died during the Fall of Quebec!
Anyways Happy 4th !
Thanks Buddy.....
Wouldn't have made much of a difference bhaiya.
You going to be bbqing old man?
Believe me he was a much more capable general than lLt Gen Sir John who fought at Saratoga...
P.S= george washington was in the british army at tht time?(fall of quebec)...
He probably would not have been at saratoga and probably would have had a much higher command.
He was never commissioned in the British army but he served as a colonel for colonial troops.
After his death..... it was said tht his death had robbed britain of a brilliant general who was very much needed during the american war of independence.... indeed he would have played a very important role in the war.... but again... history is full of "ifs" and "buts".... but to honest... if Gen John hadnt been an idiot listenin to colonial officer who was more interested in building roads from his colony to some bloody lake for trading....and been loyal.... america today probably would have been pretty different...
America would have still won because British did not have the man power to keep up with the war so they used to employ German troops. It may have taken longer but America still would have been free. The high command of British troops in North America, Howe and Clinton did not even want the command and many generals refused the command outright. Which is why I think Wolfe would have been the highest commander and such he would not have been at Saratoga. British still lose at saratoga due to Burgoyne's mistakes, French and Spain intervene anyway, British withdraw troops to Europe to face the French still abandoning Philadelphia, and Cornwallis still miscalculates leading to his surrender at Yorktown.
