Have seen some of his interviews for Indian TV / YouTube channels. At that time, I got the impression that he is a good guy and speaks like a common man would. He was relatable to average people and so I posted that impression here. These are just my impressions of him. I acknowledge that they may be superficial

Sure.. but you said something similar to Maryam Nawaz statement.. Anyway, I don't like him as he goes to extreme while defending/defaming one side. I don't believe amotional acnhors. I like Ravish though he speaks against Pak too. There is ploarisation nowadays so there is no neutral in media nowadays. Else, I like Dr Moeed and Ejaz Haider for analysis. For info, I like Imran riaz khan. For references and counter argument, Kashif Abbasi

I am enjoying a bit of schadenfreude watching Mir spreading poison against IK. Against Musharraf, IK and Mir used to sing from the same playbook which should tell you about the worthiness of their cause. IK's past association with Mir raises questions about IK's ability to judge people? Or was their something more sinister behind the unholy union? Mir has been an agent provocateur for the longest time. Yet IK had no problems getting in bed with Mir. The outcome of that union was entirely predictable. It was obvious that Mir would do his thing when IK got power and situation has unfolded entirely as expected. By associating with IK, Mir raised his own profile and now has grown into a monster that no one can touch.

More puzzling is the question why military has allowed Mir to spread his poison for as long as he has done? Would someone like Mir survive in a country like Russia, China or braather mumalik Turkey? And we know what happens to Saudi journalists who write articles in WP. They get the same treatment that Daniel Pearl got from Al Qaeeda.

As for Mir, while he might think he is untouchable, people in his profession sometimes meet an unfortunate end. Fate of Saleem Shezad does come to mind here. While blame was obviously pointed on ISI, an American journalist has speculated it could have been someone else:

The entire article is worth reading because it shows how easily foreign intelligence agencies operate in Pak and how easy it is for for foreign spooks to obtain services of Pakistani journalists.

In the interviews I've seen, Hamid was explaining the internal politics of Pakistan. He was not speaking bad about anyone. For average Indians, it is very spicy gossip

With respect to Maryam, I saw a video posted here a few days ago where she pulled a huge crowd of people. Something like 50K! She is not a party leader like Nawaz, Shahbaz or Imran. This level of crowd pull capacity for a second tier leader shows that in future she may become the PM. My comments in the other thread was made with the Bhutto - Zia story in mind. Future leaders of Pakistan should not make the mistake that Bhutto did and choose the wrong General. I don't particularly know anything about the general she was referring to.

As I said in another thread those were not supporters , they were just bunch of tharkis looking for some naughty opportunity.Her beauty attract tharkis. Not just that the free meals etc and lunch boxes from tax payers money attract lots of people in N league jalsas.
