Very expressiveThat is around 65.78 Million USD per LCA MK-1A.
Very expressive
Doesn't it have many foreign components? WoudlIt is, but the money goes to HAL.
Which in turn pays Indian vendors who provide most of the aircraft components.
So its expensive only for IAF, not for India on the whole.
Then again its the cheapest option for IAF including the Grippen which comes with many hidden costs.
in that price you can have 2 JFT block 02..LOL!
Doesn't it have many foreign components? Woudl
Initially it did, but most of them have been eventually replaced by indigenous sub-systems. Overall if you see costs of foreign components, it's still kinda high (around 36%) since the engine accounts for a major chunk of itDoesn't it have many foreign components? Woudl
Because MWF is what IAF wants in significant numbersthats it? that won't be enough to replace the bisons
...Tejas...You get what you pay for.
Pay peanuts, get monkeys.
But a major portion of your JF-17 costs would go to the Chinese while in this case, most of the money still remains in India and is circulated among Indian suppliersin that price you can have 2 JFT block 02..LOL!
HAL is already delivering the Tejas Mk-1's while this deal is for Mk-1A. Now that Su-30 production line is coming to a close, it should be modified to increase the production rate of LCADelivery start in 3 years. By tge time HAL deliver its first jet, PAF will have 24+ JF17 Block 3.
Which in turn pays Indian vendors who provide most of the aircraft components.

Dude, are you ok?
As for your justification of $65 million per plane which is stupid tbh without trying to offend you.
The money goes out of your defense budget, and local or not, purchasing something so pricy is not going to help anyone.
You do know they can get a F-35 for ~$80 million?
And in comparison:
$37.5 million – Su-30
$34.1 million – F/A-18 Hornet
$42.1 million – Su-34
$48.6 million – MiG-35 Fulcrum
$45-55 million – Saab JAS 39 Gripen
So you're telling me an LCA is better than all of these?
Will you buy a locally made Cell Phone that costs 3 times the price of the best phone on the market just because the money stays in India?
If your answer is no, then you will be able to figure out the stupid logic you guys are trying to use to defend a pricy purchase.
