Hackers reveal dysfunctional Indo-Russian industrial relations

In what is being described as collateral damage from Russia's annexation of Crimea, some 1,000 documents totalling 488 MB of data detailing correspondence between Russian state arms export agency Rosoboronexport (ROE) and India have been hacked and made public.

The documents expose numerous instances of a malfunctioning relationship between India and the key suppliers of its air power assets.

Remote possibility of being competitors, but never enemies. Indians do not believe in having enemies.

Why else do you think Indians are pushing hard for bilateral trade between India and the 'supposed enemy', Pakistan? Even with Saudi Arabia, at the same time with Iran. With Russia, as well as with the US. In fact, with China, the country that is often called 'biggest enemy of India', Indian bilateral trade is highest at $70+ billion.

You never know, if tomorrow relationship between India and Pakistan mellows down, Indians will always be up for a strong alliance. It is another matter that Indians also never compromise on the stand they take, be it for 'enemies', or for 'friends', be it on Kashmir, or on Andaman.
