I am not really surprised after HBL's debacle in USA, subsequent hefty fines and closure in USA, followed by UBL. Afghanistan is rightly the next target from where Pakistani banks should exit. The hostile/anti pakistan environment, rampant corruption and drug money its better to exit from Afg.

BTW: If i remember right Bank Alfalah too sold its Afghanistan operations back in 2017.
