What's new

Gwadar is set to replace the Malacca strait

Why are elections allowed to be openly rigged in Sindh?
Because Sindhis don't want to do sh*t about it. They are either diehard PPP supporters or diehard separatists. Estab also supports PPP due to the latter - after BB was killed, PPP workers maintained law and order in Sindh and calmed the separatist sentiments down while the feds were nowhere to be seen.

We both know that’s not true.

The army and establishment support the sardars there. If Army can do so much against PTI, why can’t it touch PPP?

The sardars there have their own private militias lol. Why is there no ISPR press conferences about that?

Because you either live with PPP, or allow Sindh to descend into a separatist shithole.

1) The rules don't apply to the rich anywhere in the world 2) Cracking down on PPP waderas would cause Sindhudeshis to fill the power vaccum 3) Musharraf tried this failed experiment of turning all of Balochistan into an A area... eventually we had to revert to the current system of local militias (levies).

That is what you want us to think.

Hold a fair election and lets actually see the result.
1) The rules don't apply to the rich anywhere in the world

Yes that is why meeting with Husain Haqqani is okay.

2) Cracking down on PPP waderas would cause Sindhudeshis to fill the power vaccum

So the message you are giving is that a party has to threaten secession and then it won't be bothered?
3) Musharraf tried this failed experiment of turning all of Balochistan into an A area... eventually we had to revert to the current system of local militias (levies).

That was tied to the whole Shazia Khalid thing.

Faujeets never fail to amaze me.

Somehow this was supposed to happen in 2007 then 2016 CPEC "game changer" but after 7 years nothing

Which one is it? China's Bahrain or China's Malacca strait

Alhamdullilah
They ran out of diesel, so haven't been able to move the country forward since the early 90's. In the mean while first India then Bangers left us behind and soon landlocked tribal Afghans will do the same.

European, African, and Persian Gulf ships will no longer have to pass Malacca straits and South India to send goods to China - they will unload at Gwadar, which is going to be linked to China by a $58 billion dollar railway.

This is a massive development.
Pakistan will effectively control a huge chunk of the world's trade.

It's also now in most of the world's interest that Pakistan can achieve stability and development.
Imagine the carving a rail link through this, only China and Pakistan can do it:-

It happened before with Karokaram. Engineering feats can be achieved when everyone is focused on the task at hand and when there is stability!

But the army doesn't want that!!

On what timeline?

ETA the year 3000??

Vroooo soon Malacca strait billions vroooo

Gwadar next dubai vrooooo all sardar fault vrooo

I think the railroad can technically be built, but China should only do it when there’s a representative government in Pakistan.

It’s good that the alignment of the track is on the Middle Eastern side of Pakistan, west of the Indus. With the Raja of Sindhudesh, Zardari, ruling permanantly it’s best to stay clear of him and his demands for a large percentage.

Trains can cope with snow better than KKH can.
A train can not travel up a mountain or for that matter even hills.

Because train tracks do not offer enough friction to overcome gravitational vector of the incline.

To make a train pass through mountains, you need very very expensive tunnels through the mountains and very expensive bridges over the valleys, to keep the train track level.

If you are not able to recuperate the money you spent building a road through mountains through your transit trade, you will for sure not be able recuperate a much more expensive project, of building a railway line through Himalayas.

I never get the idea behind sending goods to china via road/ rail.
Water is always preferred , even the rivers are more cheaper.

Did any1 in Pakistan did Extensive study on how much it will cost to create the Infra/ how much money needed for Repairs in future.
Most imp- Whic goods And in what quantity will be sent to china instead of sea.

And what is the cost of sending these through sea.

I never saw any 3-4 detailed study research on insternet. Is the govt not allowing the study to be published.
Cause theres no way such a big project with such high goals would have started without a detailed project report.
