You should see the Konkan railways sometimes. Looking outside the window is not recommended for the faint-hearted at places

Back to Kashmir, if I want to go to Muzaffarabad, by land, shall I get direct train connectivity from Islamabad ? How far can I go ? Also, do you have connecting flights ?
