This is my first thread in defence community. Let me introduce myself. My name is Asad. I love Pak army and I have very fond memories from my childhood being part of their parade events taking place near rawalpindi area. When most of my childhood classmates dreamed of becoming doctors and engineers, I was the only odd one wanting to become a soldier. However, as times changed that dream didn't pan out like I had hoped it would someday.
Anyhow, I was asked to take a few minutes to go through following points for my introduction before getting approval. If anyone has other questions they'd like to add, I'd be happy to answer.
1) Tell your interests?
I love watching current affairs and TV shows during my spare time. My favourite shows are usually comedy. I'm also a fan of anime (fav. anime is DBZ). I own Australian budgies as pets. It started with a few and now I have 4 cages full.
2) What do you do?
I'm a full-time husband and a part-time freelancer. I love writing, graphics designing and networking.
3) How did you find us?
I was just looking up stuff in Google and came across this forum. I wasn't going to register at first but then I decided to make an account because I wanted to meet new likeminded people.
4) What interests you here?
I love connecting with people and sharing my thoughts. This place offers me both and also it gives me a chance to contribute my support for our Pak forces! Like sir Zaid Hamid say, we are going through 4th and 5th generation warfare and our best chance of survival is to equip ourselves with knowledge. What better place to find knowledge and seek guidance than being in defence community.
5) What is your profession?
Marketing.
6) Future plans?
I want to visit Makkah and Medina someday with my family. At the moment I don't have enough savings but inshallah when there is a will there is a way.
