US might have done its greatest foreign policy blunder since its independence and it may well cost them more than they want to admit.

After the fall of Iron Curtain it should have focused on keep good relationship with muslim world and building friendship with a fragile Russia. But it did the exact opposite and alianated both. US have wasted so much energy on making Islam and Russia appear as boogeyman, when in fact none of these two civillization were a real threat to their hegemony.

Even greater puzzle is its alliance with India, which it has spent so much money and soft power to prop up. Now after almost 25 years it wakes up and discover that Indians cannot do the job. The only one who can is Russia and muslim nations. During the same 25 years China acted wise, kept low profile, focused on self-improvement and growing its financial muscle, as any wise nations should do. China have grown such that America seemingly is plain simple unable to stop it from becoming No. 1.

What was the cause of this failed strategy. Arrogance? Too much focus on middle east? Unbalanced influence of hawkish Zionism? Too much faith in unregulated capitalism?

I understand his message...but there is a thing called "Diplomacy"....and "Maturity" in international relations....which is missing in IK.
