The Philippines were mostly ruled by Indianised kingdoms that used the old Hindu calendar and a script that is derived

Though Hinduism in Vietnam was always too low to call it Hindu country, as you mentioned.
There was no Philippines back then, it was thousand of islands with different Austronesian tribes. Some might have Hindu influence due to trade. The so called Rajahnate of Cebu was from born in Sumatra.
