I feel happy that govt noticed it and took this initial step and I'm also one of those who reported to it the concerned authorities. Still I wish BBC gets a ban on broadcasts in Pakistan until it apologises.

Banning will only reinforce the alleged blame whereas counter-narrative will strengthen the Defenders position and educate the masses. Information warfare concept must now be well established in state of Pakistan

Pakistan does not have the economic power to put forth a alternative that will displace such giants as BBC. I would normally oppose such action as it would actually have the opposite effect. Crying "free speech" Pakistan would recieve even more negative publicity.

But PMIK has huge cache in UK and I feel this will place BBC under pressure to create a more balanced narrative. In my job over the years I have personally faced 'Indian malice' dressed as Union Jack. Of course I did as much as I could to address that with 'Pakistani bias' going as Union Jack.

There is no conspiracy here. As a general rule British culture is remarkable fair but they can also be incredibly naive. Under the catch all term 'Asian' they will give appointments mostly to Indians in private/public sector and asume that the 'Asian' will be fair to all Asians. Of course they are but they tend to be more fairer to some Asians.

Part of the problem is majority of the Pakistani demography in Uk lives in the midlands and north. Since London is where all major public/private sector offices are they miss out on the opportunities. Furthermore many of the Indians are actually Ugandian Asians who tended to be more educated and westernized when they moved to UK in 1970s. Most ended up in London and home counties. These Patels now using the 'Asian diversity' tah have filled up BBC, ITN and other media. I can always detect when it is a Patel or if it a native Brit., If the report bangs on about Muslims generally it will be a Brit., but if the report starts on Muslim but then homes on to Pakistani's then it will a Patel.

The solution is not to cry on the sidelines. The solution is for our people to open up, get educated and oin these organizations. Then try to change them from inside. But most of our lot are too buy banging on about ummah, Palestine etc for them to do this.

Ps. Those within BBC behind this will now come under pressure so this should help.

Now that is a solution I can agree with, but it will take a long time. Till then, I guess crying on the sidelines will suffice, I suppose.

Good observation, these Patels are doing the exact same thing on every other international news outlet, they always try to involve Pakistan in bad news and articles.
