The government will move the Anti-Corruption Establishment against former chief minister Punjab Usman Buzdar, PML-N leader Attaullah Tarar announced Monday.

In a press conference, the PML-N leader said that the ex-chief minister deprived the poor masses of their rights and "ruthlessly plundered the resources of the country".

The deputy secretary-general of the PML-N claimed former prime minister Imran Khan played the role of a facilitator in Buzdar's "corruption", while the ex-chief minister's front men also remained involved in "plundering the country's resources".

"Usman Buzdar will have to answer for his corruption," Tarrar said.

The PML-N leader said since Khan's ouster, the PTI chairman has been acting like there is no one more "pious" than him. "Imran Khan is trying to give the impression that there is no one more honest than him."

Tarrar claimed that during the previous government, Khan took "illegal benefits", adding that the former prime minister was also involved in helping Farah Khan — a close aide of Khan's wife Bushra Bibi — to become an "absconder".

"Farah Gogi was involved in corrupt practices and took the help of Bushra Bibi," the PML-N leader maintained.

He said there was no trail for Farah's income and claimed that the close aide of Bushra Bibi had taken millions in exchange for each posting of a civil servant in Punjab.

"The corrupt schemes were planned and supervised from Bani Gala [...] Usman Buzdar, Farah Gogi, and others like them were taken on board just for corrupt practices," he said.

Tarrar said Buzdar's assets had ballooned after becoming the chief minister and added that the reason behind his appointment was to have a man in office who would "make money for himself and earn for Bani Gala as well".

This is EXCELLENT news.

Even as a staunch Imran Khan supporter, I think he need s a good kick in the face for putting his zidd ahead of the country's interests. Buzdar is corrupt, terminally incompetent, and a master manipulator.

Convicting him will rid Imran Khan of this stinking albatross and also set a good precedent on corruption convictions which can be used against the PML-N and PPPP corrupts.

How is he corrupt or incompetent?

Because he actually distributed Punjabs budget instead of wasting 80% of it on Lahore?

agar kiya and you could find an impartial judge in punjab put him in. I would say that at least Buzdars fault was lack of media marketing. but our media is worse than Fox.

The good news, accountability should be across the board.
Meantime, take time to consider the conviction of crime minister and his son.
Are the courts sleeping to expedite the criminal thug absconding to the UK?
A murderer is an interior minister and the maximum numbers in the cabinet are on bail.

What an irony.
A bunch of criminals is going to file the cases against other criminals.

Lol..
Courts are available 24/7. So conviction is not a problem 👌 😊 😕

.
At least be specific, kia corruption ki hai?

.
Most of what this lame duck CM did was directed through the PM office. Investigation must encompass both the offices if accountability is intended and not political blackmail.

You live in a dream world my friend. Do you know how many volumes of concrete evidence is against Shahbaz and Hamza!! They still avoided framing of the charges until now. Now that they are incharge, prosecutors are refusing to prosecute them.
Two Directors of FIA aready suffered Heart Attacks, one dies, one is seriously ill.
Zardari had similar evidence in fake Bank Account case, he is avoided it for years now.

Nobody is touching these crooks in Pakistan. They have build protective walls around them, using corrupt system to their full advantage.
