Not as per any internationally accepted law.

As Pakistan does not have an instrument of acessesion for Kashmir.

The only thing that gives Pakistan any legitimacy in Kashmir are UN resolutions.. which declare the area as disputed between India and Pakistan.

And by declaring GB as part of Pakistan in violation of UN resolution .. Pakistan has crapped on those resolutions.

However more importantly this also closes the chapter on any UN mandated plebscite in Kashmir for the original inhabitants of Kashmir.

As GB becomes a full fledged province of Pakistan. Pakistanis will be able settle in GB ..if they already haven't ..there by closing the chapter of plebscite for Kashmir.

I believe this is a positive step settling the Kashmir dispute..who ever has ..what ever land is declaring it an integral part of their country and bypassing the UN resolutions.

I guess Chinese had a major role in pushing through with this amendment to Pakistani constitution..they don't really care about Pakistani aspiration for owning entire Kashmir ..but they do care about safeguarding their investment..and for them .. Kashmir dispute should be settled as quickly as possible..so that their investment in GB remains safe.
