How easy was it? I was planning to visit france during my many transits, dropped the plan seeing the documentation required for applying...

48 hrs is all it takes. If Bombay, you don't need an appointment. If you have a valid US visa, its easier. But overall, not a harassing experience. If you are applying can guide you regarding the documentation. Its quite straightforward.

I'm a bit jelly :(

Bada hoja, paisa kama aur chala ja :D

Congrats

Don't forget to visit Disneyland on sunny day, Louvre, Eiffel Tower and Versailles Palace after you are done with the Airshow.

Don't forget to share photos of Airshow

LOL at @Sneaker ,
I once forgot my passport altogether and still got in … despite the pesky love of the Republic for paperwork.
I think it depends on where you were born … 8-)

LOL at @Aether ,

Don't forget to visit Disneyland on sunny day … very optional, Louvre on any week, Eiffel Tower if you must
and Versailles Palace on a long sunny day, 'cuz the gardens you know, after you are done with the Airshow.

There, fixed that fer ya! :p:

@surya kiran , have great time, mate. I hope you like it. If you have more time and want to visit Paris,
use my blog's ( found on my profile page ) Contact Form in orange on main page and send me an e-mail
address with your tastes. There's a lot to see, I'll recommend places according to your preferences.
And just for fun, in the 15th arrondissement, there's a restaurant called Taj Mahal Ghandhi.
They found it necessary to add in letters as big as the name : Indian Cuisine
... in case you feel homesick, you know, it's probably genuine. :p:

Great day all, Tay.

I once visited Disneyland on sunny day (probably in June) and had the best time of my life.

Visited again in December and it was raining all day, the worst experience of my life as nobody else enjoyed a part from me and were busy finding a shelter.

Well, good for you, no sarcasm! I'm more of an active guy in the sense of out in the countryside/wild, that's all!
Checking out my "car" will give you an idea

although that is a generic pic, mine is better equipped! 8-)

To each their own, even my son didn't want to do Disneyland :dirol:
Have a good day, as good as that in Mouse paradise, buddy, Tay.

Haha I wasn't the only soul willing to explore what the Disneyland fuss is all about in my first visit. The second visit was accompanied by mixture of adults and kids so it was meant to be one for them.

I have also been to the mountainous range of Chamonix and Annecy where your equipment might be helpful

Let's not derail the thread we could talk further on whatever thread in members club

Yup, thanks will go through the same. For cuisine, not looking to eat anything even remotely South Asian. French cuisine it is. Have been advised to try escaurat or something like that. Supposed to be snail. Am still in two minds about the foi grasse. Let's see.

Have taken a car to drive around in the French countryside for 2 days, specifically the Provence region. Hope to see the famous lavender fields, vineyards and the quaint villages.

Congrats

Disneyland is out. Maybe, next time. The rest are part of the plan!
