Not talking about Gandhi particularly but in general. Hypocrisy runs in their veins except the few.

.
A lot of pro-Gandhi rhetoric comes more from the West itself rather than India, he became incredibly popular due to his "non-violence" and it was ideal for the British to market him the poster boy for native resistance, rather than someone like Bhagat Singh, Bose or Mullah Powindah. So that future generations are inspired by Gandhi rather than the others. He like Jinnah was a byproduct of the British system (that is not to insult either if them, but they fit well into to larger scheme of things).

he was a hard core racists.

Fact - do you know he is the one behind our tri-cameral parliament concept during aparthied.

Whites- seperate chamber - #1.
Indians- #2
Coloureds/Malay - #3.

Africans non-existent.

He pushed the narratives that indians were more intelligent than the kaffirs - his own words.

We have been pushing to get his statues removed from university campuses across this continent. In Ghana, we succeeded.

He supposedly changed had an epiphany after being dealt with discrimination. At least this is what I remember reading in history books at school.

nope.... there was no such epiphany...

he was doing this push to get them higher status all the while he was here.

For us Gandhism/Martin Luther - a waste of time. Our icons were Malcolm X/Mohammad Ali... Fear no man, stand up and fight.

Its definitely an insult for us to bunch jinnah with him..both were born in same era in British raj and brought up in british institutions yet jinnah went against British plan for a single united india.. his struggle went on till1946 direct action day riots after which Brits gave up and decided a partition in the roadmap.

Celebrating individuals is almost always overrated. It is best to only appreciate specific achievements and actions of individuals and not adore people all together. Be it Einstein, Gandhi or Mohammad Ali.

We dont celebrate people but their their messages.

We dont put leaders or people on pedestals. They are all human beings.

And his teaching of giving left cheek for a slap if someone slap you on the right one is practically not viable. Unlike MA Jinnah who was a very straightforward person Gandhi was a very deep person inside whose sayings were inconsistent with his actions.

Do you have any proofs for this claim? I see currently blacks in SA are going against Indians in SA for myriad reasons(mainly economic i hear) and that might translate to hating our leaders.

Gandhi was a great MAN. A great servant to Hindustan.

The world struggles to find a man of such caliber despite being more populous.

No Indian is more worthy of the title " Maha Aatma " , Great Soul.

British had no plans for a united India. For an empire built upon divide and conquer, it would have been an illogical conclusion.

Subjects in India had been forced into British education for a good 90 years by 1946. This education led the subjects to rediscover greater or lesser nationalism or fundamentalists to redefine and redesign.

The 1000 princely states could only gather for 2 shades. A Fekir or a Lawyer.

Gandhi was a racist weirdo but Whities think that he was a saint. What a time to be alive!
Not only was he racist but a sexual pervert. But the marketing has made this guy into a god in the west.
British had no plans for a united India.
Do you ever bother reading what you wrote? The British made it. They named it. They built even the fcukin capital. If trhey had wanted to they could have sloced it into 99 parts like they did to Arabs. They sliced off Burma from India in 1938. They could have done that another 99 times if they had wanted to.
