India impoverished? The video does not say so; it says otherwise that had India's economic reform took place two decades earlier it could have lifted 175 million people above poverty line today. I can't fathom how India remains impoverished if the number below poverty line dropped to 33% in 2010 compared to 60% in 1981.

Just like their new jobs creation cannot feed their freshmen.Percentage have dropped but the numbers remain almost the same.. 400 million thereabouts.. Every year India adds more to the population living in poverty than those escaping from it.. Simple
That for India's population has grown in a considerable number, simple. India's record in poverty eradication has not been as impressive as the Chinese or the Koreans but it is still improving and that is the point that the heading of the video chose to escape.Percentage have dropped but the numbers remain almost the same.. 400 million thereabouts.. Uneducated and unhealthy labour without skills is merely a burden, plus the world is in the revolution of automation. The tendency is that you don't need that many people but u still can have more yielding.Their huge population has a blessing in some aspects but more of a bane on other s .. The huge pool of working age of young in the next two decades will give India an advantage over other developing countries like China but finding jobs for them will be a massive challenge
